Difference between uniform and nonuniform motion

Difference between uniform and nonuniform motion

Distinguish, differentiate, compare and explain what is the difference between uniform and nonuniform motion in physics. Comparison and Differences.

Difference between uniform and nonuniform motion

1. Uniform motion travels an equal distance in an equal interval of time. Non-uniform motion travels unequal distance in equal interval of time.

2. The distance time-graph for a body having a uniform motion is a straight line. The distance-time graph for a body having a nonuniform motion is a curved line.

3. The Example of Uniform motion: a car moving at a constant speed at 10 m/s i.e. it means car covers equal distance of 10 m in the equal time of one second. The Example of Non-uniform motion: the motion of a free falling body.
