1. Spherical lens is a part of a sphere. Cylindrical lens is a part of a cylinder.
2. Spherical lens converges or diverges light into one point. Cylindrical lens converges or diverges light into one plane.
3. Spherical lens is used for correction of Myopia and Hypermetropia. Cylindrical lens is used for correction of Astigmation.
