Difference between Analog and Digital Printing
1. Analog print uses a master image in the form of screens, blocks, design rollers etc. Digital printing bypasses the use of screens. Elimination of screens provides the advantage in sampling and small runs at an economical cost. The master design in the form of the photograph or any design can be scanned and printed onto textiles.
2. In analog printing, aqueous pastes are mixed up on site in large batches (Spot Colors). In digital printing, special inks in small containers (usually 1-litre capacity) provided by machine suppliers.
3. Speed in analog printing is 30-80 m/min. Speed in digital printing is 1-5 m/min.
