Difference between Relative Humidity and Dew Point
S.No. | Relative Humidity | Dew Point |
1 | Relative Humidity is the amount of water vapour present in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. | Dew point is the temperature the air needs to be cooled to (at constant pressure) in order to achieve a relative humidity of 100%. |
2 | Relative humidity depends on temperature and the pressure of the system of interest. | At this point the air cannot hold more water in the gas form. |
3 | If air temperature and dew point temperature is close than the relative humidity will be high. | For higher Dew point, the moisture Level should be high and weather is to be humid. |
