Difference between Relative Humidity and Dew Point

S.No. Relative Humidity Dew Point
1 Relative Humidity is the amount of water vapour present in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. Dew point is the temperature the air needs to be cooled to (at constant pressure) in order to achieve a relative humidity of 100%.
2 Relative humidity depends on temperature and the pressure of the system of interest. At this point the air cannot hold more water in the gas form.
3 If air temperature and dew point temperature is close than the relative humidity will be high. For higher Dew point, the moisture Level should be high and weather is to be humid.
